Seymour Parks and Rec conducting open gyms
The Seymour Parks and Recreation Department will host basketball open gyms from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays beginning this week. They will continue through Feb. 22 at the Seymour High School auxiliary gym, except when school is closed or not in session.
Cost is $2.

Thanksgiving Day races will benefit Love Chapel
Columbus North senior Maddy Neal is hosting the Third Annual 5K on Turkey Day to benefit the Love Chapel at 8:30 a.m. Thanksgiving Day at the Armory. A 10K run has been added this year.
Registration for adults is $25 for the 5K and $35 for the $10K. For kids 17 and under, it is $15 for the 5K and $25 for the 10K.
Participants also are asked to bring five canned goods. Neal has a goal of raising $10,000 and 2,500 canned goods for the Love Chapel.
