Albert “T-Ball” Guy Taylor, 62, of Nineveh, IN, died unexpectedly Monday, November 14, 2016, at his home.

Mr. Taylor graduated from Columbus North High School. Shortly after, he attended Indiana University, eventually graduating from Rutgers University, with honors. Al started his career in golf course management at Harrison Lake Golf Course, worked 15 years at Fox Cliff Golf Course and then became the superintendent of Eagle Pine Golf Course. His career spanned over 33 years.

He loved to fish and, obviously, golf.

Mr. Taylor was the director of R.E.M.C. of South Central Indiana and was current president of the C.S.C.D. Angler’s Club in Nineveh, IN.

He was born in Columbus, IN, May 11, 1954, to the late Albert and Martha Calhoun Taylor.

Survivors include his daughter, Lindsey (Eric) Shiplov, and granddaughter, Adler Reese Shiplov, both of Fishers; sisters, Marcia Durham of Seymour and Kathy Wilhelm of Columbus;  a special family member, Eleanor Clear of Columbus; and nieces, Nikki Weddell of Seymour and Nancy Pettet of Dunlap.

Albert was preceded in death by his stepfather, Robert Chasteen; a sister, Nancy Chasteen; brother-in-law, Dale Durham; and half sister, Barbara Williams.

A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2016, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
