One adult pedestrian died and another was flown by a medical helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital after both were struck by a vehicle on the northeast side of Columbus.
The accident occurred at about 7:15 p.m. Sunday on Taylor Road near Lakeside Drive, said Lt. Matt Harris, spokesman for the Columbus Police Department.
The injured pedestrian was transported to Methodist Hospital, Harris said.
As of press time, the probable vehicle involved had been stopped, and the northbound lane of Taylor Road was closed, but no additional details were available, Harris said.
