A report compiled by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce named Bartholomew County’s three high schools “Best Buys,” along with 154 other public schools in the state that excelled academically while providing a good value for tax dollars.

Columbus City Council considered furnishing uniforms for bus drivers, sanitation workers, pothole repair crews and other city service employees to help create a positive self-image and provide adequate apparel from a health and safety aspect.

Door-to-door mail delivery was extended to the new Riverview Acres subdivision north of Columbus.
