Reed Street
Kenneth D. Schultz, 66, of Reed Street, died at 5:33 p.m. November 24, 2016, Kindred Transitional Care Center, Columbus, Indiana.
Kenneth was born November 12, 1950, in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Henry and Lauretta Wight Schultz.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
This true outdoorsman was an Army veteran and Paratrooper. Kenneth was a geologist, mountain guide and tracker. He was a certified gourmet chef and merchant marine. He would proudly teach any and all how to respect and enjoy nature. Some of his greatest joys were camping, canoeing and fishing with his friends and family and spending summers at the Dinn Family Cabin on the Driftwood River.

Survivors include his son, Christopher (Krista) Schultz of Fairfield, Ohio; daughters, Cailey (Jermaine) Jones of Columbus, Indiana; Cori (Aaron) Thayer of Hope, Indiana; brothers, Henry (Theresa) Schultz of North Vernon, Indiana; James Schultz of Columbus, Indiana; sisters, Tonette Lonaker of Columbus, Indiana; Candace (Larry) Finney of Florida; grandchildren, Brandon Bryant, Jermaine Jones Jr., Andrew Jones, Jackson Shipley, Kelsey Jones, Madison London, Briley Jones, Austin Steenbarger and Rogan Schultz; great-grandchildren, Noah Shipley; Carson Jones; and surviving former wife, Linda Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hank and Lauretta Schultz.
