Hoosier Pro Wrestling returning to fairgrounds for toy fundraiser

Hoosier Pro Wrestling will return to the Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds for the Firemen’s Cheer Fund Toy Drive Fundraiser on Dec. 3.

Admission is $12, with kids 4 and younger free. Fans also are asked to bring a new or gently used toy to support the Firemen’s Cheer Fund.

Doors open at 7 p.m., and bell time is 7:45 p.m.

Meeting scheduled for Columbus lacrosse coaches, referees

Columbus lacrosse will conduct a coach and referee meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Hamilton Center Ice Arena.

The meeting will address new age bracket divisions, house league formation, fields, winter indoor activities, U.S. Lacrosse registration, coaching and referee training and utilizing the program’s website. Coaches and referees are needed, so anyone interested in that should attend the meeting.

East volleyball club’s 12U team ready to begin practicing

The East Columbus Volleyball Club’s 12-and-under division will begin practice from 3 to 5 p.m. Dec. 11 at Columbus East High School.

The club is for girls in Grades 4 to 6 who are interested in mastering individual skill fundamentals and team training to compete in power leagues and tournaments. The team practices twice a week.
