Edinburgh
Robert D. Chandler, 81, of Edinburgh, Indiana, passed away November 22, 2016, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Indiana. He was born June 5, 1935, in Johnson County, Indiana. He was the son of Lora and Mary (Phillips) Chandler. He married Wanda (Fitch) Chandler.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Raymond Chandler of Edinburgh, Randall Chandler of Edinburgh and Billy (Brandy) Chandler of Columbus, Indiana; daughters, Mary Dyke of Taylorsville, Indiana, Nancy (Robert) Jessie of Edinburgh and Phyllis (Tom) Eshbach of Bedford, Indiana; brothers, Joe (Phyllis) Chandler of Edinburgh, Chester (Dorothy) Chandler of Edinburgh, Pat (Sharon) Chandler of Columbus and Carl (Bunny) Chandler of Georgia; sisters, Emily (Larry) Leaper of Edinburgh, Alta Waddell of Kentucky, and Donna (Darrel) Brewster of Marian, Indiana; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Johnny Hall and Herbert Hall, Charles Chandler, Buford Chandler, Tommy Chandler and Forest Chandler; sisters, Delores Mullis and Pauline Featherstone; and a granddaughter, Amber Chandler.
He retired from David R. Webb Company. He served in the U.S. Marines from 1956–1959.
Services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016, by Pastor Douglas Smith at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Calling will be from 2:30 p.m. until time of service Saturday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
