Columbus Redevelopment Commission began the process of securing an $8.5 million bond issue to construct a parking garage in downtown Columbus by late 2007.


Columbus City Utilities was one of five utilities in its class honored by the Indiana Water Pollution Control Association for outstanding laboratory operations.


Arvin Industries acquired Roll Coater Inc. of Greenfield, a pioneer in the application of painted finishes to coils of aluminum and steel, which would be operated as a part of the local firm’s Arvinyl division which applied vinyl material to sheets of metal.
