Bobbie Lee Withers, 79, of Columbus, died at 4:40 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, his home.
Born in Russell County, Kentucky, Oct. 23, 1937, Bobbie was the son of Golden and Vera Eads Withers. He married Margaret Ellen Cody in Jeffersonville, Indiana, on April 6, 1957. She preceded him in death Aug. 4, 2016.
Bobbie worked in set up for Arvin Industries for 46½ years. He enjoyed coon hunting and fishing.
Bobbie is survived by his children, Darrel (Mary) Withers and Robert Withers, both of Columbus, Teresa (Danny) Campbell of Little York and Judy (Terry) Conard of Seymour; grandchildren, Kristopher (Ann) Withers, Aundraea (Allie) Henderson, Heather (Jesse) Law, Peggy Campbell, Daniel (Lindsey) Campbell, Jessica (Jordy) Barnes, Gunner Wilson, Deakon Wilson, Matthew Withers and Megan (John) Roberts’ and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; brothers, Carthel and Samuel Withers; and a great-granddaughter, Abigail Barnes.
Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street, with the Rev. Dorse Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Garland Brook Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p. m. Thursday and two hours prior to the service on Friday.
