The Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund, an 86-year-old charity, spread Christmas cheer when an army of volunteers helped with the distribution and delivery of toys the morning of Dec. 10 to about 1,200 local children.
The purpose was to assist struggling families and help make the holiday a bit brighter for their young ones.
Delivery day included help from Santa, who used a red 1937 Cummins diesel-powered, open-cabbed Stutz fire engine as his sleigh.
