Robert Wayne Fields, 68, of Edinburgh, passed from this life at 4:22 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2016, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.
Wayne retired from Cosco after 33 years of service and later retired from Rightway Fasteners after five years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Columbus.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Larry Fields officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Wayne was born, April 1, 1948, in Glasgow, Kentucky, to Garnett and Velma Fields.
He married Sharron Sanders on September 12, 1987.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, Velma Davis of Columbus; children, Lori Gilley of Columbus, Gregory Fields of Columbus, Michael Fields of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Betty (Kevin) Rich of Columbus, Judy Davis of Columbus, Sherry Rothrock, Randall (Kendra) Davis and Bobby Davis all of Edinburgh; brothers, Kenney Davis of Columbus and Randall Davis of Medora; sisters, Margaret (Terry) Branum of North Vernon, Debbie (William) Weadon, Nancy Adkins and Laura (Brian) Barnsfather, all of Columbus and Judy (Larry) Miller of Flat Rock; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Diane Zurbrugg; and a son, Timmy Fields.
