COMING HOME

Vermont was playing at Butler on Wednesday night, but for the Catamounts’ Josh Speidel, it was like a home game.

Or better yet, a “homecoming.”

Speidel was back in Indiana for the first time since August, when he left for the fall semester at Vermont. When he arrived at Hinkle Fieldhouse, his parents, Dave and Lisa, were there to greet him.

Several other family members and friends stopped by to say ‘Hi’ to Josh before the game. Speidel, who is recovering from a traumatic brain injury suffered in a Feb. 1, 2015 car accident, was recognized with a big Hoosier welcome during pregame introductions.

Thirteenth-ranked Butler beat the Catamounts 81-69.
