Letter: Smith’s Row provided quiet atmosphere

It is always sad to see a locally owned business close. I was especially sad to see that Smith’s Row has closed.

It was one of the few restaurants in town where you could have a good meal in a pleasant atmosphere without loud thumping music and/or acoustics so poorly designed that you had to shout to be heard by the person seated across from you.

Note to current restaurant owners: Not everyone likes to pay good money for a dinner out and have to yell your dinner conversation.
