Linda A. O’Connor, 76, of Columbus, passed from this life unexpectedly at 12:13 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016, at the Columbus Regional Hospital Emergency Room.
Linda was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church where she was active with the Christian Service Guild.
Linda received her Bachelor’s Degree from Franklin College and her Master’s Degree from Indiana University and was a member of Pi Beta Phi.
She was a former fourth-grade teacher at Parkside Elementary School.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Teike officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street and from 10 a.m. to time of service Wednesday at the church.
Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Foundation.

Mrs. O’Connor was born in Columbus, October 4, 1940, to Albert E. and Irene Murray Suhre.
She married Dean O’Connor June 1, 1963.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years; a daughter, Pia O’Connor, and a son, Albert (Kim) O’Connor, both of Columbus; and her grandchildren, Kylie, Zack and Jake O’Connor, all of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
