Jenny’s Picks – December 29

Once upon a time, I sat on a mat in my walk-in closet and meditated for 20 minutes a day. Then life got in the way, and I stopped meditating. I see the difference between the me who meditates and the me who doesn’t meditate. So I plan to start the New Year off right at with a Pyramid Meditation Center guided session of meditation, 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 3, at the Bartholomew County Public Library, 536 Fifth St., Columbus. Presented by Pyramid Meditation Center. For ages 6 and older. Information: 812-379-1266 and mybcpl.org.

Here’s one to get on your new calendar: “The Beatles and The Rolling Stones,” 6:30 p.m. Jan. 10 at the Bartholomew County Public Library. Aaron Krerowicz, a full-time Beatles music scholar, will compare and contrast the two bands through musical examples and interviews with band members to illustrate the relationship between the two. Information: 812-379-1266 and mybcpl.org.
