Linden K. “Pete” Lemley, 69, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017, at his residence. He was born March 5, 1947, in Columbus. He was the son of Ralph W. and Mary E. (Smith) Lemley.

He is survived by sons, Ross A. Lemley of Anderson, Indiana, and Kent York (Kelly) Lemley of Columbus; four grandchildren; and a long-time companion, Laura M. Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kent Douglas Lemley.

He was the owner of Lemley, Inc. Landscape Service for 35 years. He retired in 2014. He was a member of the Moose Lodge #398 in Columbus, Eagles Lodge #741 in Columbus and Sons of the American Legion Post 233 Edinburgh. Pete was an avid animal lover and he leaves behind his dog Sunny and cats Onyx, Lola, Grayson and Vicky. He enjoyed writing short stories and sharing them with his friends.

Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Calling will be from 5 p.m. until time of service, conducted by Howard Burton. A private family burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
