In the aftermath of an early-morning blaze that destroyed about a third of the Seasons Lodge in Nashville, hotel officials decided to close the facility for an extended period rather than risk housing guests in the main building which was virtually untouched.


The Indiana State Board of Health began an investigation after a toddler was pricked by a needle she found while being treated for an ear infection at Bartholomew County Hospital emergency room.


Building permits for three major government buildings swelled the value of new construction in Bartholomew County to $3,803,350, while residential and other building continued to lag below levels of the year before.
