Tipton Lakes Development Corp. agreed to trade 65,000 square feet of land it owned across from City Hall, immediately south of Bartholomew County Jail, in exchange for land Columbus owned west of Fire Station No. 1.

1967

Columbus License Branch Manager Don Thompson reported between 1,300 and 1,400 plates were sold the first day the branch was open in the new year, and Mrs. George Hege, manager of the Hope branch, said 665 plates were sold there.
