Seymour
Mr. Robert D. (Bob) Malone, 60, of Seymour, passed away at 5:50 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, with his caring family by his side.
Robert was born Dec. 9, 1956, in Seymour, Indiana, the son of the late Preston R. Malone and Betty (Greathouse) Malone, who survives in Seymour.
Robert graduated from Seymour High School in the Class of 1975. He then Married Martha H. Atwood on Sept. 20, 1975, in Seymour at the Seymour Christ Temple.
Robert was affiliated with the Apostolic Pentecostal Faith. He retired from the Columbus Post Office after many years as a postal carrier.
Robert enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing, watching sports and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Columbus, Indiana. He was a loving husband and wonderful father.
He is survived by his wife; mother; children, Robert M. Malone and Candace R. (Tyson) Davidson; sister, Marsha (John) Layton; brother, Mark (Donna) Malone; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Preston Malone; grandparents, Lester and Beulah Greathouse and Fred and Mary Malone.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at Voss Chapel with the Rev. Denny Allman and the Rev. Dennis Allman, Officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Voss Chapel and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday.
