Cummins Inc. was named one of the nation’s best places to work by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Nationwide, 142 companies were recognized, with Eli Lilly & Co. the only other Indiana company honored.

St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Bartholomew County Jail, North Christian Church, Cummins Corporate Headquarters and the Visitors Center were the top five tourist attractions among Columbus’ renowned architecture.

Traffic on Interstate 65 near the Taylorsville exit was tied up for about 30 minutes after water used to fight a truck fire froze on the pavement and made it impassable.
