Nicole Michelle Weed, 39, of Carrollton, Kentucky, died Saturday, January 7, 2017, at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on June 6, 1977, in Columbus, Indiana, to David L. (Jr.) and Emma B. (Hall) Weed. She was of the Baptist faith, a 1995 graduate of Carroll County High School and received two associate degrees from Daytona Beach Community College. She also earned a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration and was pursuing a Masters degree in the same field. Nicole had formerly owned and operated Work House Fitness Center in Carrollton and was formerly employed as a crane operator/inspector at North American Stainless in Ghent, Kentucky. She also had worked as a teacher’s aide at Carroll County High School and, at one time, served as assistant softball coach and was a member of the Carroll County Fair Board. She was currently the front office supervisor at U of L Physicians — Pediatrics Office in Louisville, Kentucky.

Survivors include her parents, David L. (Jr.) and Emma B. (Hall) Weed of Carrollton, Kentucky; two sons, Trenton Z. Schmidt and David L. Zeitz, both of Carrollton, Kentucky; a brother, Brian D. (Lisa) Weed of Columbus, Indiana; her godparents, Art and Barbara Briddle of Edinburg, Indiana; her companion, Scott Arnold of Martinsville, Indiana; and her best friend, Jami Brock of Carrollton, Kentucky; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by two brothers, Jeffery Morgan and Troy A. Briddle; and paternal grandparents, David and Dorothy Weed.

The Rev. Pat Butcher will officiate services at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at the Family Worship Center, 2520 Highway 227, Carrollton, Kentucky 41008. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at the Family Worship Center in Carrollton, Kentucky. Cremation will follow the funeral service.
