Jacklyn L. Thompson, 65, of Columbus, died at 6:50 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2017, at Kindred Hospital Indianapolis South.

Jacklyn enjoyed putting together puzzles, puzzle books, playing UNO and Yahtzee. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed the outdoors. Jacklyn was a big fan of WWE wrestling. She will be remembered as a wonderful, caring and nurturing mother.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Columbus, Indiana, March 12, 1951, to Ira and Eva Mourey Bridgewater.

She married Harold Thompson Sr. on June 9, 1972, in Bartholomew County.

Survivors include sons, James (Belinda) Ford-Mourey, Harold “Moose” (Amber Burton) Thompson, Jeff Thompson, all of Columbus; grandchildren, Bo (Shania) Mourey, Courtney Mourey, Dillon Hashman, Dalton Mourey, Makala Casucci, Maragarita Thompson, Randy (Brittany) Zeigler, Jeremy (Kaylee) Zeigler; twelve great-grandchildren; mother, Eva Bridgewater; siblings, Eric (Mary) Bridgewater and Rita Gabriel, both of Columbus and Barb (Tom) Stidham and Ira Bridgewater, both of Lima, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and her faithful dachshund dog, Duke.

Jacklyn was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; and father, Ira Bridgewater.

The funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2017, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Charlie Aigner officiating. Calling will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Winchester Cemetery in Shelbyville, Indiana.
