GRANBY, Mass. — Police say driver error is thought to have caused a crash in which a large passenger bus clipped a heating oil delivery truck and careened into a house in western Massachusetts.

The 77-year-old driver of the Peter Pan bus and a 23-year-old passenger were hospitalized with minor injuries. No one was in the Granby home at the time of the crash Monday morning.

Videos released by police show the bus strike the parked truck, sending the unbelted bus driver into the stairwell. The driverless bus then veered off the road and into trees before hitting the home.

Police say mechanical problems with the bus and oil truck have been ruled out. The bus driver did not suffer a medical emergency.

The crash remains under investigation.
