ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The FBI in Albuquerque says preliminary autopsies don’t indicate a clear cause of death for two sisters and their three young daughters who were found dead on Tuesday in New Mexico.
The FBI says more tests are pending.
Authorities discovered Vanessa George and her two children Zoe and Chloe plus Leticia George and her daughter Haleigh in a rugged area of the Santa Ana Pueblo.
The FBI has said foul play isn’t suspected by another party.
The case began to unfold when family members asked police to check on the two women and their children last week. Police arrived at the home they were renting in Albuquerque to find no one there. Cellphones and other belongings were left behind, prompting police to issue a flier about the women’s disappearance.
