Local sporting events postponed, rescheduled
Several sporting events involving local teams Friday and today have been postponed because of inclement weather.
The Columbus East at Bloomington South boys basketball game, which was scheduled for Friday, has been moved to Monday.
Today’s scheduled Hoosier Hills Conference wrestling (at Jennings County) and girls swimming (at Bedford North Lawrence) meets have been moved to Jan. 21. The East at New Albany girls basketball game scheduled for today has been postponed, with a makeup date yet to be determined.
The Conference Indiana wrestling meet at Perry Meridian has been pushed back to 11 a.m. today. The Conference Indiana girls swim meet at Columbus North has been moved back to noon for diving and 3 p.m. for swimming.
Today’s Edinburgh at Morristown girls basketball game has been pushed back two hours to a 1 p.m. JV/2:30 p.m. varsity start. The Columbus Christian at Cannelton boys and girls basketball games have been postponed to Jan. 21, with the boys game at 1:30 p.m. and the girls at 3 p.m.
The Jennings County at Brownstown Central girls basketball game has been moved to Jan. 23. The Jennings at Bedford boys basketball and Trinity Lutheran at South Decatur girls basketball games have been postponed to Jan. 24.
