The following closings are planned for the Monday observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
» All Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles license branches will be closed through Monday. All branches resume regularly scheduled business hours Tuesday. Online transactions can be completed on mybmv.com.
» The Solid Waste Management District Office and the Columbus/Bartholomew County Recycling Center, 720 S. Mapleton St., will be closed Monday. Reminder, the Columbus/Bartholomew County Recycling Center is now always closed on Mondays. The Bartholomew County Landfill, 811 E. County Road 450S will be open regular hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday.
» Columbus City Utilities Office will be closed Monday. Regular business hours will resume at 8 a.m. Tuesday. Customers with a problem with water or sewer service should call the business office at 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts.
» The Bartholomew County Courthouse will be closed.
» Columbus City Hall will be closed.
» U.S. Post Services will not be open Monday, resuming for business Tuesday.
