Mary Acton Lozar, 92, of Columbus, died at 4:22 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at her home.
Mrs. Lozar was born Feb. 18, 1924, in Columbus, to James and Florence Hill Plummer.
She married Richard L. Acton in 1946. He preceded her in death Aug. 23, 1984. She later married John P. Lozar in 1991. He preceded her in death Dec. 10, 2007.
A homemaker, Mrs. Lozar cherished the time she spent with her family, was an avid bingo player and enjoyed going to the casino and traveling.
Survivors include her sons, Dwight Acton of Columbus and William Acton of Seymour; step-children, John (Renda) Lozar Jr. of Muncie, Teresa (Joe) Mathey of Punta Gorda, Florida, Michael (Sharon) Lozar of Las Vegas, Cathy (Ken) Wiggins of Venice, Florida, and Angela (George) Bredestege of Zionsville; grandchildren, Amber Fonner and Todd and Christopher Acton, all of Columbus; seven great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; sister, Wilma Snyder of Columbus; brothers, Jack (Sharon) Plummer and Jerry (Karen) Plummer of Columbus; niece and caregiver, Pam Shehan Davis of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lozar was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; sisters, Dorothy Fye and Marjorie Shehan; and brothers, John and James Plummer.
Private family services will be held. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
