Mrs. Media M. Wolf Lewis, 82, of Columbus, Indiana, formerly of Moorefield, entered this life on Jan. 22, 1934, in Jefferson County, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of Carl and Lula May Edwards Wolf, both of whom preceded her in death. She was raised near Moorefield, Indiana, and was a 1952 graduate of the old Central High School on Ryker’s Ridge near Madison, Indiana. She had attended the Macedonia Baptist Church near Moorefield while living in the community. After moving to Columbus, she became a member of Parkside Baptist Church. She was united in marriage to Donald “Don” L. Lewis on Oct. 27, 1951, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. This happy union of forty-one years was blessed with two daughters, Carolyn and Donna. They moved to Bartholomew County in 1965, where they remained for the rest of their lives. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, embroidery and reading, and was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family and her home. Media died at 3:06 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus, Indiana.

Media will be missed by her two loving daughters, Carolyn (John) Bacon of Dillon, Montana and Donna Lewis of Franklin, Indiana; her grandchildren, Joshua Bacon, Bonnie Bacon-Ortiz and Amelia Bacon Bergum; her great-grandchildren, Aiden Bergum, Kalyn Bergum, Gabriel Ortiz and Kelly Bacon.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Wolf, who died March 6, 1981; mother, Lula May Edwards Wolf, who died Aug. 7, 1964; her husband of 41 years, Donald “Don” L. Lewis, who died Jan. 6, 1993.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, by Chaplain Wayne Edwards at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery in Vevay, Indiana. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
