North Vernon
Sterling Leon “Jack” Adams, 83, of North Vernon, died at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility in Columbus.
Surviving with his wife, Shelby Adams are a daughter, Vicki Cole of North Vernon; sister, Gloria Bishop of Washington State; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Kris and Kerry Adams.
A funeral service for Mr. Adams will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Family and friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Vernon Cemetery with military graveside rites provided by members of Matt Hester Post #2021 V.F.W. Masonic memorial services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. by members of North Vernon Masonic Lodge #59.
