North softball coach forming middle school travel team

New Columbus North softball coach Ron McDonald is putting together a team of middle school girls who are planning to play at North in high school.

Hauser to host dinner, recognize former coach

The Hauser Adult Booster Club will host a Ribeye Steak Dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the school’s auditorium, before the Jets’ boys basketball game with Batesville.

Between the JV and varsity games, Bob Nobbe will be recognized for his 20 years as Hauser’s coach.

Fairgrounds site of Hoosier Pro Wrestling

Hoosier Pro Wrestling will return to the Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds at 7:45 p.m. Feb. 4. Doors will open at 7 p.m.

Zeller Family Program coming to Whiteland

Clark Pleasant Middle School in Whiteland will host DistinXion, a Zeller Family Program, on March 18 and 19.

The basketball camp is for boys and girls of all skill levels entering Grades 2 to 8. Registration is $69 before March 1 and $89 beginning March 1.

Association offering program for officials

The Indiana Officials Association is offering a program for individuals interested in officiating high school and youth football.

Applicants will need to register and pay a fee by June 7. The fee includes IOA membership, materials and instruction. Officials must also join the IHSAA and pay the licensing fee and will receive rule books and other materials. There will be rules and mechanics study from 6 to 9 p.m. each Wednesday in June and on July 12 and 19 at Lawrence North High School.
