Purdue College Visit Day rescheduled

Current high school and college transfer students and their families are invited to attend the annual College Visit Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 17 at Purdue Polytechnic Columbus, located at 4444 Kelly St. The event was previously scheduled for this past Friday.

Students and families will learn about the university, financial aid, student housing and admissions, and they will have the opportunity to meet faculty and explore majors at an interactive booth fair. Lunch will be provided.

Registration is required. Register by filling out the form at purdue.edu/Columbus/visit.

Degrees offered at the Purdue Polytechnic Columbus include: computer information technology, engineering technology, industrial engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology, organizational leadership, robotics engineering technology and supply chain management technology.

Columbus resident earns chiropractic degree

Malachi A. Henry, Columbus, received his doctor of chiropractic degree Dec. 16 from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida.

Henry’s parents are Max H. Henry and Doneda Brown of Columbus.

Henry intends to open Henry Chiropractic Clinic around March in Columbus.

DePauw University dean’s list

Benjamin Davis, a 2014 graduate of Columbus North High School, made the dean’s list for the fall 2016 semester at DePauw University.

Davis is a junior in the Management Fellows program.

A grade point average of 3.5 or higher is needed to make the dean’s list.

Hope College dean’s list

Columbus resident Jon Austin Huffer, Columbus, was named to Hope College’s 2016 fall semester dean’s list.

He is the son of Jon and Melinda Huffer, of Columbus.

To make the dean’s list, students must have a minimum 3.5 grade-point average.

USI dean’s list

The following students made the University of Southern Indiana’s 2016 fall semester dean’s list.

Columbus: Justin V. Abbott, Ariana Abraham, James R. Belding, Erica Burton, Nikia C. Clipp, Rachel E. Davis, Dana K. Hovis, Bailey E. Jewett, Mallory N. Jordan, Katherine C. Martin and Haley E. Piatkowski.

Butlerville: Alivia M. Lovegrove.

Commiskey: Margaret C. Baldwin and Katelyn Madinger.

Undergraduate students must achieve a 3.5 or better grade-point average to be named to the dean’s list.
