Evelle Baskerville, 91, of Columbus, passed from this life at 11:25 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mrs. Baskerville was born March 15, 1925, in Simpson, Kentucky, to Marlon and Mazie Gan Oliver.
She married Otho H. “Slim” Baskerville July 17, 1973. He preceded her in death January 20, 2015.
Mrs. Baskerville was a homemaker and a member of the Lowell General Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Wilma Kay (William) Thompson of Kentucky, Wanda (Roy) Findley of Franklin, Ronnie (Lisa) Taylor of Nashville and Jeff Baskerville of Columbus; brothers, Willy Clay (Doris) Oliver and William Oliver, both of Tennessee; sisters, Edna Edwards and Idell Loftus, both of Tennessee; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Baskerville was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughters, Samie Ryon and Betty Sturgill; two grandsons; three brothers; and a sister.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Glenn Poynter officiating.
Family and friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Monday.
Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
