Edward James Love, Sr., 85, of Columbus, died at 2:41 a.m. Thursday Jan. 26, 2017, at Columbus Regional Health.
Edward’s survivors include his children, Gary L. Love and Edward James Love II of Columbus, Crystal (Scott) Griepentrog of Huntsville, Alabama and Luella Marie Love of Columbus; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Carol Hartman of Delaware.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Cooper Love.
There will be a celebration of Edward’s life at 5 p. m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Pastor Roy Hendershot officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 3 to 5 p.m. In keeping with Edward’s wishes, cremation is planned with private inurnment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials for Edward may be sent to the Capital Account at the Mill Race Center.
