Adelheid Katherina “Adel” Camp, 57, of Columbus, died unexpectedly at 6:35 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017, in the Emergency Department of Columbus Regional Health.

Born Dec. 3, 1959, in Germany, Adel was the daughter of Hugo and Helga Beeker Zink.

Adel was currently employed with Faurecia where she loved her work. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Surviving Adel are her two sons, Michael (Tara) Kelly of Freetown and Cody (fiancée Michaela) Camp of Columbus; siblings, Renate Zink, Gabi (Ernst) Hehn, both of Germany, Barbel (Richard) Johnson of Texas, Sonja Zink and Arthur (Rosie) Zink, all of Germany; grandchildren, Shelby and Jayden Kelly of Brown County and Adalyn Fields and John Camp of Columbus.

Adel was preceded in death by her parents and husband, John Camp.

There was a gathering of family and friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th St. with a celebration of her life at 7 p.m., led by the Rev. Jimmy Collins. In keeping with Adel’s wishes, cremation is planned with private inurnment later.
