Columbus Christian rolls

BLOOMINGTON — Columbus Christian jumped out to a 46-15 halftime lead and cruised from there to an 80-46 win at Bloomington Lighthouse.

Blake Barker led the Crusaders (21-5) with 22 points. Kyle Marsh added 17.

Panthers upset New Albany

FLOYDS KNOBS — Jennings County avenged a regular-season loss for the second time in as many games by knocking off New Albany 59-47 in the semifinals of the Floyd Central Sectional.

When the Bulldogs beat the Panthers 64-50 in December, they grabbed 23 offensive rebounds. This time, Jennings (11-14) had a double-digit rebound advantage.

Sidney Gerkin led the Panthers with 15 points. Macy Roth added 11.

Jennings will play Bedford North Lawrence in tonight’s final.

Eagles edge Golden Arrows

ELLETTSVILLE — Brown County rallied from a five-point deficit with less than two minutes left in regulation to force overtime, then pulled out a 60-59 win against Sullivan in the semifinals of the Edgewood Sectional.

Allison Stogsdill scored on a putback with 3 seconds left in regulation to tie the game. The Eagles (9-14) then had a two-point lead in the closing second of overtime when the Golden Eagles made the first of two free throws with 3 seconds left, and in a scramble for the rebound, the clock ran out.

Aubrey Hollander led Brown County with 19 points. Maddy Edds added 14.

The Eagles will play Northview in tonight’s title game.

Columbus Christian falls

BLOOMINGTON — Columbus Christian had only six players because of illness and injury and fell 58-28 at Bloomington Lighthouse.

Lauren Barker led the Crusaders (2-13) with 18 points.
