Mr. James E. Speer, 83 of Seymour, Indiana, died at 1:08 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his six children, Charlene (Duane) Darlage, Barb (Frank) Maschino, Jim (Debbie) Speer Jr., Bradford Speer, Wally Speer and Nathan (Candy) Speer; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Betty) Speer; and two sisters, Sharon (Ron) Schrader and Karen (Leroy) Davis.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Loretta M. (Seidle) Speer.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service with the Revs. Larry Dalton and Marty Speer officiating. Burial will follow at Leesville Cemetery in Lawrence County.
Family and friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service and after noon until the time of service Sunday.
