Leila Ellen Mitchell, 75, of North Vernon, died on Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service in North Vernon. The Revs. James Terry and Kent Stroud will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.
In addition to her husband, Roy L. Mitchell, Mrs. Mitchell is survived by a son, Stephen (Erin) Mitchell of Dupont; three daughters, Deborah (Glen) Carney of North Vernon, Amelia Suhre of Louisville and Amanda (David) Bryant of Dupont; a brother, Larry (Pam) Jines of Vernon; a sister, Marsha McMurtrey of North Vernon; a half-sister, Grace Ramey of North Vernon; and seven grandchildren.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to North Vernon Wesleyan Church or donor’s choice of charities.
