Woman hiding in closet arrested on charge of possession of methamphetamine

Columbus police arrested a local woman on two Bartholomew County warrants after she was found hiding in a bedroom closet.

At about 4:50 a.m. Sunday, Columbus Police Officer Luke Nibarger was sent to the 3700 block of Arapahoe Trail about a 911 call, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.

While inside the home, officers found Shannon M. Sneed, 38, 3718 Arapahoe Trail, hiding in a bedroom closet, Harris said.

After confirming the warrants, Nibarger arrested Sneed and officers later found methamphetamine that Sneed was accused of hiding in her clothing, Harris said.

Sneed was also arrested on a charge of possession of methamphetamine, Harris said.

She is being held in the Bartholomew County Jail in lieu of $13,000 bond, jail officials said.
