William “Bill” Allen Pumphrey Sr., 86, of Columbus, died at 12:47 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Willow Crossing Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Pumphrey is survived by his wife, Julia M. Kinker Pumphrey; children, William Pumphrey Jr. of Columbus, Steve (Jayne) Pumphrey of Indianapolis and Pamela (Roger) Cook of Warsaw, Indiana; a sister, Nancy (Wayne) Malan of Columbus; a brother, Larry (Linda) Pumphrey of Columbus; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church with Father Andy Syberg officiating. Calling will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Inurnment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery with full military rites presented by the Indiana Army National Guard Ceremonial Unit.
