Spencer
Larry Uriah Percifield, age 74, of Spencer, passed away at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born July 31, 1942, in Columbus, Indiana to Donald and Irene Dailey Percifield.
He was a 1960 graduate of Hauser High School in Hope, Indiana, and later obtained his bachelor’s degree from Olivett Nazarene College in Kankakee, Illinois in 1966.
Larry spent his entire professional career devoting his time to church and helping as a Sunday school teacher all the while working on his own in lawn care and irrigation systems. Larry thoroughly enjoyed his mission work, fishing, photography and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandra K. Gibson Percifield of Spencer; daughters, Paige Elliott and husband Mark of Bloomington, Brooke Percifield of Spencer, Renata Zelaya and husband Gabe of Miami, Florida; grandchildren, Gabriel, Raegan, Foster, and Olivia; and his mother, Irene Percifield, also survives. He was preceded in death by his father; and daughter, Stacey Percifield.
Funeral services for Larry will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday February 12, 2017, at the Valley Mission Church of the Nazarene, 110 Hillcrest Way Bedford, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday February 11, 2017, and on Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.
