Jesse James Jackson, 34, Hope, Indiana, and former Middletown resident, passed away February 10, 2017, near Columbus due to injuries from a car accident.

He was born in Anderson, April 7, 1982, the son of Robin L. Jackson and Denise Tambrini Lanman.

He was a graduate of Shenandoah High School and had attended Ivy Tech. He was active in high school, lettering in football, wrestling and track, where he was an outstanding pole vaulter.

He was an operations manager at Tenneco Corporation near Jeffersonville.

He was a member of the Middletown Lodge F & AM #271, and Fellowship Lodge, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and the Murat Shrine. He had been a member of the Middletown Fire Department and attended the Hope Moravian Church.

Survivors include his wife of five years, Jessica Lynn Robbins Jackson of Hope; a son, Tyler Solomon Jackson; mother, Denise Lanman (Jeff) of Lewisville; five brothers, Ben Grim (Meghan) of Middletown, Joe Grim of Anderson, Adam Jackson (Clorissa) of Royerton, Lukas Jackson of Knightstown and Dennis Boyd (Amber) of Middletown; a sister, Crystal Wynk (Matt) of Middletown; step-brother, Spencer Lanman of West Lafayette (Purdue University); nieces and nephews; and special animals, Nova Lee and Penta Maya.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Danny Tambrini.

A celebration honoring his life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Middletown Church of the Nazarene, 698 N. 5th St., Middletown, with Pastor Andy Kilps officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery, Middletown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church with masonic memorial services at 8 p.m. at the church.
