Alvin Eugene “Gene” Garrison, 78, of Waycross Drive, died at 1:10 a.m. February 14, 2017, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Alvin was born Jan. 21, 1939, in Columbus, the son of James and Eliza Lockherd Garrison.
Alvin had retired from Reliance Electric.
A gathering of friends and family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2017, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Our Hospice of South Central Indiana through the funeral home.
Survivors include his son, Todd (Shannon) Garrison of Columbus; daughter, Kim (David) Anderson of Greensburg; brother, David (Lorli) Garrison of Indianapolis; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Brian Garrison; brothers, James and Robert Garrison; sisters, Mary Harris, Tish Dinn and Ruth Hendricks; and one grandchild.
