Seymour man pinned underneath truck after it hits a tree

Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an accident that resulted in a Seymour man being pinned underneath a pickup truck after it hit a tree.

Emergency dispatchers received two calls about the accident, the first at 8:13 p.m. Wednesday about a disturbance near Azalia where a couple was arguing in a truck near South County Road 350E and Boat Street, deputies said.

A second caller then reported the truck was in a yard in the area of 6800 E. County Road 800S, deputies said.

Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Deputy Matt Bush found the truck had hit a tree and 18-year-old Chandler Arnholt, Seymour, was pinned underneath it. A female juvenile had reportedly left the scene.

Arnholt was extricated from the truck and taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis by Lifeline helicopter with non-life threatening injuries, deputies said.
