Patricia J. “Patty” Shireman Fish, 53, of Seymour, died at 6:50 p.m. Sunday February 19, 2017, at Kindred Transitional Care of Columbus.
Born in Indianapolis on January 12, 1964, Patty was the daughter of Elmer W. and Waltraud Irene Rieker Shireman. She had worked as a waitress for many years in the Columbus area.
Patty is survived by her mother, Irene Shireman of Columbus; children, Russel (Whitney) Shireman of Greenwood, Logan (Chelsie) Ryan of Brownstown and Donovan Pastrick of Columbus; grandchildren, Madalyn and Elmer Ryan of Brownstown; her stepsister, Chaille Fields of North Vernon; a niece and a nephew, Sherry Veerkamp of North Vernon and David Veerkamp of Osgood.
She was preceded in death by her father.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 10 to 11 a. m. Saturday at Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl Street, followed by a celebration of Patty’s life at 11, with Pastor Douglas Bauman officiating.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation is planned with private inurnment at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials for Patty may be directed to Orphan Grain Train.
