Samuel Taylor Stone, 60, of Bassett, Virginia, a former longtime resident of Edinburgh, died Feb. 15, 2017, at McKenzie Willamette Hospital in Springfield, Oregon.
Mr. Stone is survived by his daughter, Ann Marie Stone, and his son, Jason Stone, both of Veneta, Oregon; one grandson; and a sister, Ann Watts.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanie Johnson Stone, and a son, Jerry.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, followed by calling from 2 to 5 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Edinburgh.
