Jason Arthur Brown, 43, of North Vernon, Indiana, passed away at 6:17 a.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, with his family by his side.

Born June 27, 1973, in Columbus, Indiana, he was the biological son of Leroy Brown of Azalia, Indiana and Nancy (Staublin) Morgan of Tayorsville, Indiana.

Jason was a 1991 Columbus North High School graduate. He served in the United States Air Force, was employed at Impact Forge in Columbus, Indiana as a draftsman and was baptized into the Catholic Church. Jason loved riding motorcycles, fishing, canoeing, playing his guitar and music and attending sporting events with his son, Trey.

On May 20, 2000, in Paris Crossing, Indiana, he married Trish (Erwin) Brown, who survives in North Vernon, Indiana. Jason was beloved by his uncle Tony and aunt Terrie Staublin of Scipio, Indiana, along with his cousin, Adam Staublin.

Other survivors include his son, Trey Arthur Brown; one brother, Vince “Scott” Brown of Lexington, Kentucky; one step-sister, Alonza Dawn of Azalia, Indiana; three step-brothers, Paul Wright of Ogillville, Indiana, Kevin Morgan of Zionsville, Indiana and Darrin Morgan of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandparents, William “Bill” and Helen Staublin of Columbus, Indiana; mother-in-law, Marilyn Hooser of Crothersville, Indiana; father-in-law, Buster Erwin of Crothersville, Indiana; brother-in-law, Brad Erwin of Crothersville, Indiana; sister-in-law, Jill Erwin of Jeffersonville, Indiana; nieces and nephews, Kari Erwin of Columbus, Indiana, Maddie and Graham Brown of Lexington, Kentucky and Ian Fox Roesler of Azalia, Indiana; one step-mother, Rhonda Brown of Azalia, Indiana; one step-father, Jim Morgan of Taylorsville, Indiana; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie Johnson and Mary Brown Johnson.

Father Danny Staublin and the Rev. Ralph Hillenburg will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville with cremation to follow.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2017, and after 10 a.m. on Tuesday, both at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville.
