NTN Driveshaft announced its plan to buy $70 million in state-of-the-art equipment and add as many as 250 jobs to its 1,600-employee workforce. Cummins Inc. announced it expected to hire 450 workers.

City workers demolished a bulk oil facility, previously owned by Little Champ Oil Co., to make way for the new bridge and roadway into downtown Columbus.

Bartholomew Consolidated School Board announced plans to close the elementary school at Newbern and expand Rockcreek Elementary School by 12 rooms.
