A fundraiser is planned to support a local resident’s kidney transplant and to increase awareness about organ donation.
Nathan Bell, Columbus, is waiting for a kidney transplant after finding out his kidneys were failing while planning his wedding last October. The fundraiser is set to help with his transplant costs.
The event, titled Nathan’s Fight, will be from 3 to 8 p.m. April 22 at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds, 750 W. County Road 200S. A dinner will be served with a free-will offering, and there will be a DJ, service dog demonstration and a mobile blood drive. An auction and raffle are also planned.
