Richard Lee Purvis, 68, of Columbus, died March 4, 2017, at his home.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Joan Purvis.
The funeral will be Saturday, March 11, 2017, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4850 W. Goeller Road, Columbus, with Bishop Jesse Shoaf officiating. Military rites will be performed by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, at the Jewell – Rittman Family Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Hartsville College Cemetery.
