Clyde E. Anderson, 90, of Franklin, Indiana, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017. He was born July 13, 1926, in Nineveh, to Sylvan Renso Anderson and Gertrude (Swift) Anderson. He married Lena F. (Stearns) Anderson on Feb. 11, 1956, in Nineveh. She preceded him in death on Dec. 11, 2013.

He was a United States Army Veteran of WWII, having served in the European Theater. He retired in 1989 from Dolly Madison Bakery in Columbus after many years of service. He was a member of Nineveh Masonic Lodge #317. He enjoyed gardening, farming and playing cards He especially enjoyed family get togethers and was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Survivors include his two daughters,Debra K. Cook (Michael) of Edinburgh and Kimberly L. Knudsen (Robert) of Whiteland; four grandchildren, Sylvia Higginhotham (Jamie) of Edinburgh, Tyler Cook (Jennifer) of Whiteland, Kara Roberts (Dean) of Greenwood and Kyle Knudsen of Indianapolis; great-grandchildren, Alexis Merchant, Brayden Cook and Graham Emerson Roberts.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Donald, Louis and Harlan Gene Anderson; sisters, Margaret Schrougham, Marjorie Essex and Mildred McFarland; and infant sister, Goldie Anderson.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 U.S. 31 South (Morton Street) in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary, where a Masonic service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Burial with full military honors will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
